I'm sorry I haven't managed to make progress on the issues you've raised in this thread. Not that I don't want to - I'm just overwhelmed by my workload at the moment.

Having said that, the message itself is pretty much meaningless - this will not be a hardware problem. We need the full log context to try and figure out what is happening there.

Ok, if I have the time, I'll switch to 1.2.1 next weekend and test these issues again and also provide the logs of course. But in regards to my previous post: I looked through the logs myself and checked the tv.log entries against the error.log entries. I had one case, where tuning to ORF III went fine, but when I stopped the manual timeshift and wanted to try another channel the "unknown error" occured. However, in the logs I noticed, that the error (the one in the error.log I mean) actually occured on stopping the manual timeshift and not when I tried to tune to another channel (after that error happened, the tv.log indicates, that it is unable to get a signal on any other channel, presumably because the tv card sort of crashed when the timeshift was stopped on ORF III). But anyway, it's probably more useful to provide the logs of 1.2.1.
