Please can you increase the verbosity in the MySQL log so we can see additional detail about the delay, and also check the InnoDB log to see if it reveals anything.

One other random question...

Is the IP address for your PC statically assigned (ie. fixed) in the NIC properties, or is it assigned by your router?
