TV Station order not changing from default (1 Viewer)

I have just installed MediaPortal 1.40 using the Advanced settings and have gone through choosing the TV channels and changing thier order to be the same as the normal TV using TV Server Setup.

When I open up MsdiaPortal and go to TV the order of the channels has not changed.

Do i need to make a favourites group or should it work with just the changing thier order I have done already.

The channel ordering is group dependant. Are you sure you ordered the same group you are looking at in the client?

P.S.: Default view would be "All Channels" group

As far as I know they are the same, I didn't change anything or create any groups

Scanning can create groups, if you allow them to.

Check in th TV Server config if the order is still as you want it to be. Check for multiple groups. See that you select "All Channels" for grouping. If you sorted on the first page, this will not reflect on the groups (this is basically the "default" sort for new groups). Maybe create a group, copy your channels to it and have your default set to this group.

Ok thanks for that. As far as i can remember (at work now) the order is still the same.

I copied the channels I wanted from "Channels" to "All Channels" & it solved the problem..

All working fine now

Yeah I have a feeling that you can't change channel order on that first tab, even though it suggests you can, maybe someone can confirm or refute this.

You're right - you can't.
Order should be set in the group tabs.
Those order buttons should really be removed... unless they set some kind of default order. Even I'm not really sure about that.
