TV won't turn on (1 Viewer)

Forgive me if this has been covered. I have just installed MediaPortal 1 and it all looks to be OK. The channels have all been tuned and it all looks set. The problem is I can't turn the TV on. I've configured it and ticked the box 'TV on when entering my TV.' I click ok and start up MediaPortal, but the TV is off and the button does not respond to mouse clicking. It refuses to turn on. Is this a bug or what Any answers gratefully received.

Sounds like the TVServer client plugin has not installed.

Or perhaps TV-server hasn't started yet when Mediaportal is loading. Go to Mediaportal Configuration - General - Start up delay. And tick 'Wait until TV Server has started'. For me that helped with the described problem.

I seem to be having the same problem. I am also new to Media Portal and this forum.
Muddy. Did you work this out? If so please post the solution here.
I have the client plugin installed and I tried ticking "Wait until TV server has started" but no luck.

Here are some more details...

• I can tune in and preview channels in the server management console.
• The client seems to have some contact with the server (The server appears when I click TV-Streams, the channels list is updated).
• When I have both the server management and the client open I can see the client listed next to my TV card under "Manual control" (it says it is timeshifting) but it is not listed as a streaming client (under "Streaming server").
• The "TV On" button is not selected and clicking on it has no effect. No TV is shown.
• I've checked the folders where timeshifted TV is stored and there are files there that play fine in VLC media player.
• When Media Portal is running my CPU usage is around 60% and my computer is very sluggish.

I've included all of my log files, and my profile has my system specifications. I get the feeling I've missed something minor. Can any experienced users help? Muddy, is there something familiar in my system specifications that could be a clue?

I have to admit temporary defeat. I've uninstalled MediaPortal and the whole shebang and reinstalled WDM drivers and original DVB-TV software in order to see Euro 08. I'll pick it all up again when the football is over. Sorry Nick, hope you sort it out mate.

I have nearly the same problem.
I can see TV on my TV server,with tvserver client.
BUT, when I try to see it on an other TVserver client on 1 of my two TV PCs, It will not show up.
The funny part is that earlyer i coud see TV on bouth of the PC, but the EPGgrabber dident work.
When i had that fixed, bouth the TV clints did not work any more.
I only get a black screen when I try to start TV....

I am running last stable, same ver on all.
