TV3 bonus and rant/rave (1 Viewer)

I decided to try running a TV3 server on a separate computer to see if I could get a more stable picture, and got the bonus of a third tuner some how
I have 1 Leadtek DTV1000 T and DTV1000 S
When I was recording 2 channels I noticed it was only using the one card.....
So i clicked on the EPG and started a 3rd.
So I had 3 recordings going at once

One thing I have noticed in using TV3 Server is sometimes the picture isn’t as good, But the Celeron 1.8 512 ram seems to keep up fine with about 4%-15% CPU usage.

So all I need to work on now is getting the server to sleep/wake for recording, and Wake on lan
Ill do some searches in the Wiki for that unless someone has a good guide.

When I was recording 2 channels I noticed it was only using the one card.....

It sounds like the 2 "programs" that you were recording were on the same "channel" - for example ABC1 and ABC2 are both broadcast on the same frequency and thus appear in the same transport stream. TVE3 enables you to record one or more of the programs at the same time within the same transport stream - I hope that makes sense?
