I looked a bit inside Manual Control, again.
I found something to may be improve it a bit but, as it's not a patch for existing mantis issue and also, you seems to be very busy at the moment,
and, I don't want to annoy you more, I would like to know if, you could be interested in such patch :

For the moment, the only way to test a specific tuner is configure Cards like (scrnshot 1).
If we leave all cards enabled, here is the behavior :
1/ Click on another tuner than the first free one. (scrnshot 2).
2/ Click on Timeshifting.
- Today (scrnshot 3).
- With this proposal (scrnshot 4).

This sounds useful. Have you actually written the code, or are these just mock-up screenshots? How much modification is required to the code, and is it very localised in one place (which would presumably make it safer)?
