I have too your issues scirocco790. So many and important bugs.

- autostart of tv does never work, has to be activated manualy every time
- tv has to be started 3 or 4 times from main menu until i see a picture

- mtv germany has picture but no audio

Please provide a full transport stream dump from that transponder. At least I don't have an access to that tv station.

- tvservice crashes after being idle for about an hour. this seems to be a problem with the epg grabber.

Some others have also reported similar issues with EPG grabbing. Unfortunately EGP grabbing works here.
Please provide a full transport stream dump, hopefully it will help us to fix the grabber crashing

- after switching from running tv to music and start a title, the title starts to play for 3 or 4 seconds and stops. then i start the title again, and the music is playing

I was unable to reproduce this bug. Works here ok.

- if i want to change radio channels (dvb-s) i have to stop them first. otherwise mp does nothing.
- switching from radio to tv results in the same as reported by gregorv
- switching from tv to radio crashes my mp too.

I don't use radio so cannot try to reproduce these. Logs please!

Procedure:
Start MP test tool, switch TV to MTV (no audio).
Crosscheck:
Then switch to VIVA: audio OK

EDIT:
I needed to cut the ts dump behind 5MB - was too big.

Looks like the stream decoding has some issue. Have you already tried the new TsWriter that is provided in https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/help_us_testing_new_tswriter-t34389.html?t=34389 ?

If it doesn't help then we need to look at the stream itself. So please provide us a full transport stream dump -> http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/TS-dumps

TS stream is currently uploading (edit of my previous post).
Took me some tries to get it small

hey tourettes! i got many logs for you and a ts raw dump:
the dump for the mtv problem is uploading to ftp atm. the file is called scirocco790_080127.ts .

one thing on the radio channel switch: if i don´t press stop before channel switch mp stutters and plays the same channel. after a few seconds it play normaly, but not the channel i want.

i have attached logs for the following problems:
- radio channel switch (no channel change until stop is pressed)
- switch from radio to tv (sound but no picture from the tv channel on first try, until tv switched on)
- switch from tv to radio (crash)
- switch from tv to music (stopping after 2 or 3 seconds)

here my logs from changing Radio to TV.
Change takes long, then TV channel without video.
Then pressing TV on -> OK (video&audio)

Best Release so far for me. After trying ~5 diff builds from the stable on TV server and MP this one does it all. TV server is just awesome.

Hello everyone,
I am new to satelite users, and also new to TV server. I have problems with this SVN, and also with previous, I did not use TV server before. My problem: after starting TV service I can view previews of any channel in TV server configuration without any problem, anytimes. But after trying to turn on this exact channel in MP message "Unable to start timeshift - no video/audio deteted". Also preview in TV server configuration raises this error then. After restarting the TV service I can again see previews of any channels.

I guess I have the same issue. I can preview any unscrambled channel in TV-Server but in MP I can only watch the first channel and can't change. The same I have in TVServer under "manual control": I can timeshift any unscrambled channel but can't start timeshift from the next ("no audio/video detected"). I have to stop timeshift manually and can start any channel. The same behaviour with the new tswriter.ax also.

I had the same problem where TVservice would stop working seemingly at random. You could still enter Management Console and it would show you “recording” when in fact it wasn’t. As soon as I go to MP and start TV everything just locks up (MP & TVservice)

I had grabbing enabled for some channels that don’t provide EPG. Also I had some channels where it could only grab very little or no data (BBC one and two for example (in Switzerland) would either have EPG for 1-2 hours or none at all even right after grab).

I haven’t figured out jet which channel(s) caused the problem, it’s kind of hard to figure out since I have no way of provoking the crash (other than wait half a day). But as of now it grabs EPG for all my major channels without crashing.
