thanks gibman for fixing the problem with the auto turn on of tv. works!
the problem when going from tv to music and starting a song is gone too.

the problems that still exist:
- crash when going from tv to radio and start a channel when tv was not stopped
- no radio channel change possible until stop pressed
- when going from playing radio to tv, sound of the tv channel is there but no picture until tv on is pressed
- no sound and stuttering picture on mtv germany. tourettes will take a look at it i think

i don´t know if the tvservice is crashing when it is idle. my mp runs at home and i will take a look at it this evening

I also noticed this yesterday on MTV NL (Netherlands).

i noticed this problem on several tv channels. cable tv provider is unity media in germany.

Im on multiseat, at least this works.

Again, working here. Although it's slow before you get to hear the new channel.

Working nicely here.
I'm using autofullscreen and autoturnontv settings. And this works.

using localhost

Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could explain, why isn't it allowed to do a "localhost-setup" (in a single-seat-mode)? I mean binding components to localhost and setting the hostname to localhost at clients. I think this is a normal procedure when both client and server reside at the same machine, but in mp this is explicitly disallowed (both when setting mysql hostname and when setting tv-server address, and when selecting the interface to bound the tv-server).

The reason why I would like to do such a setup is that the only connection I have in my machine is an unstable wlan connection, which causes lot of disconnects at tv client.

I tried and disabled the autofullscreen and autoturnontv settings.

When tuning a radio station while entering tvhome, selecting a TV channel does nothing.
I'll get this fixed for next SVN.

I think there is a workaround in some forum post. It was using some MS fake network interface. Unfortunately I cannot remember more details of it as I haven't got WLAN home.

Thanks for your answer. Just being curious, but could you still explain what are the reasons behind the this localhost limitation?
