Having done a fresh instal on a new system the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
package supplied in the MP instal is out of date and requires the

Otherwise you get a host of errors and crahsing of the TVSERVER and setuptv.

This may be reported elsewhere but as it was fresh in my mind I thought it may be prudent to put up a reminder here.

Can the MP 0.2.3.0 stale release be updated or a note added (I may have missed this) as new users may have the above problems and dump TVSERVER as beinng totaly unstable which it isn't .

Logs posted are of the error so anyone can compare if they have a new instal

MP GUI becomes unresponsive while timeshifting. This used to be a problem when the priority was raised above normal for MP GUI but this is now happening while the piority is at NORMAL.

From the logs you can see that MP GUI stopped logs at 11.47 but the tvserver carried on fine,, tswriter and tsreader continued without problems.

Video and audio carried on fine as I was in fullscreen at the time, subs were off .

From the recent svn releases there looks like there has been changes in internal code priority, could this be causing the problem.

Futher testing is happening and will post further logs.

If you see a tree there needn't be forest ;)

MP's priority settings (which are stupid to change anyhow) haven't been changed at all ;)

    Gentle.config file not found

I am installing TV-Server from scratch on Vista and I am getting the error message "gentle.config file not found! (could not find a part of the parth 'C:\ProgramData\MediaPortal TV Server\gentle.config'.), when running 'SetupTV.exe'. I tried to set the install path to C:\ProgramData etc.. but then I run into problems later on. I found somewhere that this happened in November as well but that seemed resolved.

    Great report

No filter has changed that could trigger a driver bug.
No code has been changed regarding channel change.

Yes I know it's a great report:sorry: but I tested many builds now still hoping for a stable one . I did some more tests and the blue screen occurred only 1 time.

And when I report something watch 1 channel and record the other on the same transponder - MediaPortal Forum

No reaction from developers, but anyway I love the product and hope for to have a stable MP soon. :D
