How to install this new plugin

Hi there,

I use the old tvgemist plugin at the mo. Like the everyone else ( i guess) i want to use your tvgemist plugin.

BUT do i overwrite the old files or do i have to disable the old tv gemist plugin , and then install your tvgemist plugin and enable yours tvgemist plugin only ????????
BTW i use X-Face skin 1.7 is this plugin also compatible with X-Face ???

If it works or not ......thx anyway for the hard work!!!

I'm using the new database driven version since today. Works like a charm so far! One disadvantage: the GF especially likes her GTST's being tagged with dates now

you can just overwrite it. I'm using it with the Black&white 1080p skin and so far i havent found anything that's changed...

Isn't it a good idea to start a google code for this plugin as well?

I second the idea that starting a google code (sourceforge or any other platform for that matter.. ) for this plugin is a really good idea

i cant play it with wmp but i can play it in kmplayer.
in kmplayer it says it uses dmo codec , but this is a windows codec so wmp should also be able to play it ?
anyone know where to get this dmo codec for reinstall ?

Just to make sure, can you play this file?

I think it is computer/codec related, the location of the file is correct and on most other systems it works. It is strange... the x-factor shows are in WMV format not ASF.

are you saying this link is playing in windows mediaplayer on your pc ?
i just also tried it on a pc with a clean install of vista and also here it is not playing in wmp.
if i open it with the kmplayer it is playing.
So i do not hink it is a codec problem but a problem hot the file is handled.

Can you play it via mediaportal ?
If yes which codec settings do you have in mediaportal

i installed this codec pack which includes whe windows media codec pack
http://codecs.dbpoweramp.com/codecs-new/dBpoweramp-Codec-WMA10ProVista.exe on my fresh insalled vista pc and now it runs in wmp

i will try later on my htpc if it also works in mediaportal

One disadvantage of using de old skin ( there is only new for blue3 en blue3wide) is that you dont have the button live tv which is new. If youre not planning to use that the old skin works like a charm.
