    Issue:

I setup MPV Decoder for mpg2, Core Avc for h.264/Avc1, Ac3 Filter as Audio decoder, ffdshow decoder as post-processing (only subtitles for raw video and Avc1 fourcc oriented mkv, decoding for xvid, divx)

In DirectShow Ac3 filter as $40000000 merit value and MPA Decoder filter $40000001

When an mkv file Avc1 and Ac3 multichannel is played it start with Haali media splitter (correct) and Ac3 filter as Audio decoder (perfect!(. it work fine.

When an Xvid in an avi container is played with Ac3 audio stream 2-ch or 6-ch the audio decoder choosed by MP is Gabest MPA audio decoder probably because it have a merit greater than Ac3 filter audio codec.

But I've choose Ac3 filter as main audio codec. So I think this is a bug because the selected audio codec shuold be used in a filtergraph with haali spliteer or avi splitter. Most possible MP should follow the own setup not the directshow filtergraph method based on merit values.

ps: the log do not contain JPG of filtergraph. I've Vista . I tried to install Vista SDK (without documentation and samples) but testtool do not create the image :sorry:
