Hi

When I do a channel scan on the Thor 3/5 @ 1W for S2 channels my machine go into bluescreen with a IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL. This do not happen if I scan for ordinary DVB-S1 channels, just for S2. My FloppyDTV-S2 card has the latest firmware and drivers and is working as it should when scanning for non-S2 channels. I have contacted digidal-everywhere, but they can not scan the Thor satellite.

Can someone else with a similar card please do a channel search for the following transponders and tell me how it went and if the card picked up the channels? This is either a hardware failure or driver issue.

[SATTYPE]
1=3592
2=Thor 3/5, Intelsat 10-02 (1°W)

[DVB]
0=5
1=11341,V,25000,8psk,34,off,0.35,S2
2=11421,H,25000,8psk,34,off,0.35,S2
3=11434,V,25000,8psk,34,off,0.35,S2
4=12015,H,30000,8psk,34,off,0.35,S2
5=12128,H,30000,8psk,34,off,0.35,S2

I also tried turning the pilot and roll-off settings on and off, but is doesn't matter what I do. Maybe the card has a issue when scanning transponders with 8PSK? This did not happen when the channels where at Thor 2/3, but back then they used QPSK and DVB-S1 for the HD-Channel.

PS. I tried installing WinXP-SP3 and the result is exactly the same. I also tried the card in another PC just to be sure. I'm also not sure how I should provide any log-files and how they can help because they are showing nothing wrong until the system suddenly bluescreens.

Thank you for any help :)

Hi

After a long day trying all that I could think of I finally tried a scan removing my Predator Conax Cam and then the crashes stopped and I can now scan and find all channels on Thor 3,4. That includes the HD Channels also. But of course I cannot watch them since I have to remove the CAM. So it seems that I have to buy a new one :(

I have a old Conax 3.1 Cam, but that won't work. So once again, can some other Norwegian viewers please tell me what CAM they use in their FloppyDTV card? Please...

Or maybe someone can tell me how to update the Predator firmware?

Kjetil
