TVserver can't create database (1 Viewer)

Hello MP team.

I did install TVserver once successfully. I have even been able to find some channels with my Hybrid analog_ DVB card.

I get finally various issues and I restart the full installation process. (from SQL server 2005.......to tvserver)

Now I'm stuck with the TV server , It can connect tvserver service ( using "test" button) but as soon as I save , I have the message "Can't create database" and bugg. all needed services.msc are opened.

What can I do?

If you have the slightest idea,

Please let me know because this time, I'm stuck. I have repeated installation at least 4 times with the same result.

Hello caisnes,

I don't use SQL Server 2005 so I don't know how an uninstallation is handled there but maybe the database itself is not removed during uninstallation. Have a look for your SQL Server installation folder and watch out for the database to be removed when you uninstall the server.
An even easier approach would be to install the SQL Server management studio express and see whether the database is persistent.

You're absolutely right.

The directory for SQL server was not removed using the uninstall soft.

I erase the directory, reinstall the whole thing..

and it works....

i my case it was enough to delete the database data directory for the tv engine.

How do I locate the database so I can delete it. I have experienced what seems like the same problem described in this thread. thanks.
