I just update mediaportal from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2. I did an update installation as I have a lot of modded things I don't want to loose. While getting the whole thing updated and when the tv server installation was going to be done it seems there was an error -sorry I dind't write it down.. It said smething like "tvserver.exe trying to write to somememory it didn't exist. Now everything is working except the tvservice. The directory is there (Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal TV Server) and all the files. except for tvservice.exe. I tried to do another install but the installler doesn't allow me to do it. It says that I have t go through a full install. Have anybody any idea where I could get the "Tvservice.exe" file to dowload? Is there any way to force a repair installation? Or a way to extract the tvservice file from the installation package? thanks I just tried to reinstall the tv service from Configuración local\Temp\MediaPortal Installation\deploy (a temp directory created when you try to install mediaportal) and I get another error at the end: EventType : clr20r3 P1 : tvservice.exe P2 : 1.0.2.42496 P3 : 4a04b3f1 P4 : system.configuration.install P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 4889dede P7 : a1 P8 : e7 P9 : system.invalidoperationexception Any clues? UPDATE: It seems I made it to work. After getting the last error I realised that the ile "tvservice.exe" was again in the directory and I tried to start the service from the control panel/services. It said that the service was stopping after started. I looked inside the tvserver directory and found a file callled setuptv.exe. it opened up and it was asking me for the password for the database. It was empty. I put the password "MediaPortal" and now everyting works again! I think this might be happening because I'm uing the SQL server database instead of mysql. Can this bug be triggered by this?????? I think this has to be solved in the next version of mediaportal as I've read I'm not the only one with this issue.
