I only use it occasionally as I'm transitioning to it, and the temperamental nature kept me off it. Even at best the picture I get sometimes breaks up. I disabled sleep altogether and also tried your suggestion of "preferred network provider" setting and "when card enters idle state". I understood there wasn't a lot of information, I just wanted things to try. It was defective btw, and I've replaced it with another brand tuner which works fine.</blockquote>
