What are the benefits of using the TV server when you only use it on one PC?

Is the TVServer more stable than the currently used method?

Will it in the future only be possible with TVServer+Client?

And does the TVServer come out of hibernate to record a program, like powerscheduler does know?

This is mentioned already in several topics. In the end you decide if you want to use the new tvserver or not

Since its our first release and its beta i think you can answer this one yourself

Frodo, I am :sorry: - but I tried searching and browsing an answer to Q1 - but no luck.
If someone gives a link or two (or an answer) it would be great.

I can partially answer it myself (for HW analog-cards).

A. With a TV server or service running in the background, recording can be done without the client running. Also the client can be re-started without stopping/missing recordings.

- seperation between client & server
- streaming tv
