I know the PCHDTV 3000 card is mainly a linux card, but it is supposed to have DBA support in Windows. I wouldn't buy this card today for Media Portal, but I already have it from may years of playing with MythTV.

Has anyone had recent success in getting it to work? I have done all the suggestions in the 4-5 posts I have seen, but the instructions that people claim to have worked don't seem to work anymore.

Thanks in advance!

I have this card as well. I thought I followed the instructions at:
http://www.pchdtv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1445
but it looks like the instructions are old and the card is now supported, since the supported cards xml file already has the newer version:
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="Conexant BDA ATSC Tuner/Demod" checkdevice="true"/>

But my Media Portal install does not see the pcHDTV 3000 card. It sees the two Haupage 500MCE tuners.

I get the following drivers listed in my system information:
Conexant 23880 Video Capture
Conexant 2388x Crossbar
Conexant 2388x Tuner (Thompson DTT7612 NTSC)
Conexant 2388x BDA ATSC Tuner/Demod

But I also have an unknowns Multimedia Controller under Other Devices in PCI Bus 2, Device 11.

I tried using the graphedit program, but I can't find the "transport stream capture filter" seen on
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=47&d=1156719405

Overall, my media portal experience is 10x easier than my MythTV issues. At least the remote works!

Hi,

I don't use MediaPortal anymore, and my HD-3000 card is back in a MythTV box, where it works best.

When I had it working in MP, I followed the driver installation instructions that are with the drivers. I think that the drivers that you are seeing are for the analog tuner that the card has. I did not set that up, as I am only interested in HD.

I also used WMCE 2005, and I don't think that those drivers will work in Vista.
