Hi Gary,

Glad to hear things are improving for you with the tuner card. Were you only able to scan for channels with the analog card after installing MP 0.2.3.0 RC1?

I might also install the new RC1 and see if the analog issue is resolved, but if you have already done that then i doubt I will get a different result.

Either way I'll let you know how i go.

Yes only able to scan for channels with 0.2.3.0 RC1, however it only happened twice?! now since the first reboot after installing 0.2.3.0 all im getting on analog is "unable to graph" which makes no sense to me at all, i made no further alterations to capturecards so its all very strange.

I think it might be time to visit ebay for this card!

Well, unsuprisingly I have not had any luck getting the analog to work. I get the same old "unable to graph error" like yourself.

You just might be right about this card, time for another.

Well, i have just spent the last 3hrs going through graphedit again with the analog filters and have found some interesting points. i don't have a filter named "cyberlink mpeg video encoder(twinhan) and the same for "cyberlink audio encoder(twinhan)".

So when building the graph and manually rendering the pins nothing wants to conect to the "cyberlink mpeg muxer".

I am now downloading from some site in the us something called ACE MEGA CODES which would seem to contain a shed load of mpeg,audio encoder codes for everything from directx6.6 right up to WMP11.

It would be fantastic if this works out. I can't try this out on my system until friday afternoon but i'll play with it too and we'll compare notes.

Well m8, have you managed to figuar anything out, i have been working away so not been able to have another go, have had another idea though not sure if it will help in any way, but if the cyberlink filters - mux and decoder(s) dont exisit then how come it works with the twinhan software?! need to find out what that uses to decode audio/video.

Good news! i have got it working! digital and analog is now fully working in mp. right here is what i did: (you can pay me later hehe)

1)unistall your original dtv player from twinhan.
2)uninstall mp 2.3 rc1 don't delet the mp folder in program files.
3)uninstall tvengine 3 if u have it and the mp plugin in control panel add/remove programs.
4)reinstall mp 2.3rc1 don't even look at capturecarddefinitions.
5)use the disk that comes with the 3056 to install your dtv software/drivers
6)run mp setup click television - capture cards (with me digital card was already there) - click add, it found the analog card and alwoed me to autotune, do it then reboot.
7)after reboot, open capturecarddefinitions in note pad and search for the analog card, it might already be there, if not use this:

8) if you see any referance to the digital card delete it and the reboot.
9)go back to capturecarddefinitions and add this:

10)save all changes to the file then reboot!

i now have both analog and digital fully working even the FM tuner is allowing autotune and playing in the main MP. However the clock in my windows taskbar has gone a little odd its now 6hrs fast and wont save the normal time?!

Let me know how you get on with this buddy, and what ever you do, don't uninstall the twinhan dtv software after you get it working in mp.

i'm about to have a look at graphedit to see if the filter issue i raised yesterday has been resolved, or even if it has an impact on the situation at all.

Ok ready to die now..... where the fcuk is the sound!
I'm well dissapointed with all this, u need a mega processor to watch analog on mp, i have got a Athlon 2.8 watching analog picture is jerky and slow (with no sound) and there is a delay on everything you do cos processor is at 100% constantly. Digital works fine but where i live unless its a totally cloudless and still day we dont get a digi signal and oh look its raining :-(
