Hi, I've recently started using Mediaportal, and so far I like it. I've been fiddling around with settings in both MP as well as in the video driver to get MP to show up fullscreen on the secondary display (which is a TV).

Please note that I did use the search function, but I couldn't get a conclusive answer.

With the FX5500, I suddenly had this working after a fresh install of both MP and the driver.
Settings I did change: Extended desktop onto secondary display, show overlays fullscreen on secondary.
It now showed MP in a window on my primary display, and fullscreen on the second, and it stayed like that whilst playing videos or doing whatever.

Now, I've switched the card around for a Radeon 9700, because I wanted a DVI output. All fair enough, I uninstalled the drivers, switched the cards, installed latest Catalyst, and made the same setting changes as before (extend desktop, show overlays fullscreen on secondary display).
Now, it doesn't only not show MP fullscreen on the secondary display, but it doesn't even do it when watching a video. If I load up PowerDVD however, things are fine and the overlay goes fullscreen on the TV again.

After browsing the forums, the situation I achieved with my GeForce wasn't even possible apparently. I haven't tried putting that back in, to see if I can reproduce it, but I reckon I can do that just fine.

Can anyone help me make the settings, so that I get the setup I want? Or is it impossible with an ATi card?

With earlier versions of the nVidia drivers, this worked well (MP fullscreen on TV and windowed or minimised on the PC) but with a recent driver revision (detonator 88 from memory) MP stoipped being detected as a fullscreen video source. I think the ATI drivers never worked properly.

Well, like I stated before, I did it with the current Forceware release for the FX5500, which is 93.71. Already guessed the ATi drivers were having issues, they always have :p

    Bumping this for justice.

Bought a GF 6200 (needed DVI output, and Catalyst is horrible, back to good old NVIDIA) - But I'm unable to reproduce this effect :/

I don't understand what I'm doing different, I probably just ran into a bug last time, as apparently it ought to be impossible :p

Really hate this though, I'm unable to run MP on the secondary display now, which is where I want to look at it; making it the primary display won't work, as there's other people using this machine, and they wouldn't know how to set it all back to 'normal'.
