Folks,
a Couple of answers / fixes needed from a long term user and lover of MP. Runnig Windoze 7 and recently upgraded to 1.14.0 from 1.12.0, through 1.13.0.
I was happy on 1.12.0 until a database error in the music section of the software, caused me to try to upgrade to see if the issue went away. It did not. So I completely uninstalled MP using option 2, which doesn't remove the TV server but does remove all the database parts of the product. (So it says)
So cleaned out MP using option 2 and reinstalled 1.14.0 from what I thought was a clean base.
1. When trying to Sync the music folders, MP Configuration still Crashes. Sync in this instance means rebuild a database of all my music folders, by re-scanning / re-indexing the music files themselves. Interestingly, having used option 2 to delete all the old data, MP still sees the number of music that was in the 1.12.0 version. Which seems kinda strange. Anyway when trying to rescann the music files, MP crashes trying to "clean out" all the music. Crashes to the point that MP Configuration just dies. Leaving me unable to get 1.14.0 to rescann and make a new database of the music I have.
1.a Is there an old data file I can totally remove or rebuild to get MP Configuration to work, by reindexing all the music without crashing?
1.b Is there any other way of changing something to get MP Configuration to work in the music area?
Other than these, I will if I have to totally remove all of MP by using option 3 in the uninstall program and start again totally. But this must hopefully be the last option, right?
2. Video Folders: I reference folders all over my network. Funny thing is that I have one directory on another computer, that is correctly reflected in MP Configuration. But when loading MP itself, that folder doesn't appear. It doesn't matter if I have the "wake up LAN" option flagged on or off. MP Does let me "see" that folder. Deleting the reference and reinstalling it didn't work either.
Any time anyone has to help would be greatly appreciated.
2.a: Help?
