Message: <blockquote data-quote="GrizzlyMV" data-source="post: 66986" data-attributes="member: 23060">Area: Media Portal Program MP Version: 0.2.0.2Skin: MCE 16x9Windows Version: XP Pro SP2 CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Memory: 2gb Kingston PC3200 DDR Motherboard Chipset: MSI K8N Neo4-F nVidia nForce4Video Card: MSI NX7900GT-VT2D256EVideo Card Driver: nVidia Forceware 91.31Video Card Resolution: 1168x668Video Render Type: VMR9 Video Codec Type & Version: All Audio Card: Realtek ALC850 7.1 onboardAudio Codec Type & Version: All TV Card: VIVO on the MSI video card, using S-Video for recording TV Card Type: Installed WinDVR in order to recordTV Card Driver:  lastest WDM nVidia driverHi all,    I finally managed to have my HTPC set up with Media Portal.  Really nice.  Only 2 "little things" to fix before I can say it's all good to go.       First one is that the TV is delayed from the original source (cable terminal box)   I'm watching the TV from a S-Video connection on my computer (as I don't/can't have a tuner).  The problem is the same either if I use the TimeShifting option or not.  Thing is, I don't have this issue when using WinDVR or Got All Media, only with Media Portal Video-Out: Connected with a DVI-HDMI connection (DVI on Computer, HDMI on TV) on my 57" rear projection HDTVVideo-In: connected with S-Video between the S-Video in of the computer and the S-Video out of my cable terminal (as I don't have Coax out of the terminal).   Audio-Out: connected with the SP/Diff out, connected to my HomeTheater Digital In, and it is used for both Digital and Analog sound from the computer. Audio-In: connected with a RCA (left/right) audio cable starting from my cable terminal converting into a Jack 1/8 connector going to the Line-In of the computer. I also had to install WinDVR in order to be able to capture/watch TV on my system as I don't have a hardware MPEG2 device. Now, for the first issue.  I've tried to play with the different Video/Audio Encoder / Decoder installed on the computer but nothing changed.  Same result no mather which codec I use or which quality I use.   I've also tried to play with the Rendering device (from the MP interface) as I found in some threads here, but no luck there.   The problem is that the video is delayed from the Cable box (if I change channel, it change on the cable box, and 1-2 seconds later it change on the computer).  On top of this, the audio is also delayed but a good 1-2 seconds from the video I see in MP (which is already delayed from the cable box).  Thing is, I tried the same with WinDVR without any problems and I tried Got All Media with the same settings and then again, no problems there.  When I change the channel on the cable terminal, it change instantly on the computer, video and audio are in synch with the cable box. Timeshift enabled or not.  I have the problem only with MP. Any idea of what else I could try to fix it?   Now, the other problem which I have with almost every software, but this is probably due to a setup error.  When I watch the TV without timeshift,  I hear the Line-In audio.  Which is fine otherwise I couldn't hear the TV. ;-)   But as soon as I enable the timeshifting option, then I still hear the Line-In, but I also hear the Audio out of the recorded video (the Timeshifting) so it's like hearing the same thing, twice, with 1-2 seconds of delay (because the recording can't be live as the audio in is).   So my question is, how do you connect the audio in of the TV to the computer in order to hear the TV when just watching the TV, but still hear only ONE output when using TimeShifting?   I tried to mute the Line-In in the Playback mixer of Windows, but that would also mute the audio in the recording...so no good.   I was thinking of maybe adding a second sound card just for the Line-in, but I doubt this would fix the issue.  What I am missing there?   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks in advance, Best Regards, Martin</blockquote>
