Two Providers how the heck do i offset channels (1 Viewer)

Ok here goes,
I am not mentioning names.. I do have a Question Lets say I am getting a provider
and lets say I have another Provider their sats have similar Transponders and channels
Now here is the problem one will work one wont.. Then all of a sudden the other works
the other doesn't Do i have manually offset the channels is there a way to do this?!?!?
Please someone save me from the insanity of it all..... Ok Dramatic.. heheh Ok JUST
plain HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
