I've switched this week from 2.3.0 to RC1 and while I got most in working order, there are two major issues that make me want to switch back. I'm just new at this so I didn't want to file an official bug report right away.
(single-seat setup under Windows XP, recent Intel Core Duo system)

1) Hibernation. With 2.3.0 Power Scheduler neatly came online and went into hibernation everytime it had to. (my system does a lot of recording when I'm away). With RC1 Power Scheduler doesn't do anything anymore and also the Hibernation button in the Home screen menu doesn't work. When I click it, it just switches off the TV stream or file you're playing and that's it.
Outside MP, hibernation still works fine.

2) Focus. When in windowed mode and with 'always on top' enabled. MP keeps stealing focus from other programs immediately. So it's impossible to type everything, outside MP only doubleclicks with the mouse still function.
Didn't have this issue with 2.3.0 either.

If necessary I can file an official bug report, but I'd prefer a bit of feedback first.

Which skin, test with Blue Two to be sure there is a problem.

Strange because i've got MP running windowed whilst typing this, use MPTrayMOD to start MP and it solves some focus issues on start, that where a problem with the original MPTray.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    General remarks:
    - both issues were verified with Blue2wide skin
    - they also both occurred with the original download as well as the latest SVN

    1) Hibernation:
    - the Shutdown function of the home screen menu works, but Sleep doesn't work as well as Hibernation; there's a bit of disk activity when I press it and that's it

    2) Focus:
    - I installed MPtrayMOD but it didn't help
    - it doesn't make a difference whether I have it start-up minimized to tray or not, note that there is no problem when MP is minimized
    - the DirectX Exclusive switch also makes no difference

As you will understand, these two issues make the program nearly unusable for me. And unfortunately I'm very close to cleaning everything out and hoping I can get 2.3.0 properly back to work.

If you are running a recent weekly build, then make sure to set the option to only allow standby during xx to yy hours to something sensible, or disable it.

Okay, after a complete reinstall the problem with the sleep/hibernate buttons in the Home screen seems to be solved.
I've yet have to see Power Scheduler do anything but from what I've read on these forums the client/server structure made it extremely unpredictable (pity, worked great in 2.3.0).

The focus problem is still there. It's like part of MediaPortal thinks it's still in fullscreen while it's windowed.
    Sorry guys, I'm quitting.
