Type into vitual keyboard with an actual keyboard (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to use a proper keyboard to type an entry into the virtual keyboard rather than having to use the direction keys and hit enter on each letter you want?

If i try and type on my keyboard when virtual keyboad comes up my hotkeys start doing thing in mediaportal behind the virtual keyboard.

I use a MCE keyboard, the only thing is i have to manually select done at the end of typing in name, but then I have sticky keys turned off, so it will work for the most part.

I only have a normal wireless keyboard and an MCE remote, takes ages to type stuff, is it not possible to stop hotkeys when the virtual keyboard pops up so you can type?
