I recently did a format and reinstall and I've installed the latest version of MP2 on Windows 10 Creator update.

Now I seem to be unable to add any media sources from my network. I've added the credentials, but when I click the "+" before the server, it changes to "-" and nothing else happens.

This happens both when I try to add content on a Freenas Coral server and from a windows 10 box that should use the same credentials.

I am probably missing something obvious, but I think I've done everything I did to get it working before the format/reinstall.

    Hello,

Something in your network environment is messed up: You have two PC's with identical IP addresses:

[2017-04-18 17:47:56,420] [60389 ] [AMQ 'SettingsChangeWatcher`1'] [INFO ] - NetworkNeighborhoodResourceProvider: No credential registered for the root path; using Network Service account as fallback
    [2017-04-18 17:48:15,844] [79813 ] [65 ] [WARN ] - NeighborhoodBrowserService: Found two computers with different HostNames but at least one identical IP-Address:
    [2017-04-18 17:48:15,847] [79816 ] [65 ] [WARN ] - NeighborhoodBrowserService: HostName: 'HVARD-DESKTOP', IP-Addresses 10.0.0.45
    [2017-04-18 17:48:15,847] [79816 ] [65 ] [WARN ] - NeighborhoodBrowserService: HostName: 'HÅVARD-DESKTOP', IP-Addresses fe80::4979:cdcc:ea28:7e89%6 / 10.0.0.45
    [2017-04-18 17:48:15,847] [79816 ] [65 ] [WARN ] - NeighborhoodBrowserService: Discarding the second HostName and adding its IP-Addresses to the first host.
    [2017-04-18 17:49:02,387] [126356 ] [AMQ 'SettingsChangeWatcher`1'] [WARN ] - NetworkNeighborhoodResourceProvider: Could not register credentials for ResourcePath: '{03dd2da6-4da8-4d3e-9e55-80e3165729a3}:///'
Because of this credentials cannot be registered.

The A in HAVARD looks like a Danish letter. Generally it is not recommended to use special characters for device names as some software is not able to correctly process them. Indeed it looks as if the IP4 IP read swallows the Danish A. Try renaming the PC.

Thanks, did a test after sorting out the network, but didn't seem to solve anything.

I found this in the log:

[2017-04-18 21:39:59,103] [2406 ] [Main ] [INFO ] - NetworkNeighborhoodResourceProvider: No credential registered for the root path; using Network Service account as fallback

Don't know if that is related to the credentials i have to enter, but I did enter the credentials needed.

The above logs show no error.

Please set the log level to DEBUG (see Wiki), repeat the operation and then use the "Collect all logs" menu option to create a complete set of log files to upload.

Yes, here in Norway we have a saying "Tingenes iboende faenskap" which roughly translates to "The devil inside of things" and refers to things like the headphone cable that ties knots on itself, or the bag of potato-chips that explodes when you try to open it. I guess when it comes to software there is both a devil and an angel inside of it. :p
