can someone at least confirm they are using latest SVN and don't have this issue and can change channel by selecting ok on guide or channel up / down buttons on MCE remote?

(and whether you imported channels)

No problems here. Btw I have not used the import function.

You said you had a reinstall, make sure that Use MCE Remote in Remote section in MediaPortal Config is checked. This is something I tend to forget and while you can still use some of the buttons in MP without this checked, some won't work and then I get really confused until I remember what I've forgot to do...

first thing I checked...

Will have to re-install TV server then and see if it works without import
