Unable to get Media Portal working with Hauppauge 1600 and DirecTv (1 Viewer)

Windows 7 x64 (Home)
Hauppauge 1600 (HVR) with Drivers and WinTv 7.x installed
DirecTv receiver connected to the tuner via S-Video & RCA Audio
Media Portal 1.2.3.0 installed

While following the instructions outlined in the Wiki scanning for channels fails to find any valid channels. Although if I go to the TV Channels section in the TV Server configuration I do see video and audio when I do a preview on the S-Video #1. I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious, but I haven't been able to find anything information that looks applicable in the forms or wiki's. Please advise as to what the next configuration step should be. Thank you for your time and consideration in pondering my question.

I am sure that you will find that MP and Wintv7 will not run together. Try uninstalling the Wintv prog, just leave the drivers. There is a separate download for the IR on Hauppauge web site.
The tv card will have to be configured as a hybrid card.
Just a last thought, did the card find channels in wintv7 on its own. Just to be sure the card is working OK.
