On Win 10 I uninstalled all previous references to Media Portal, downloaded version 1.22 and during the install i consistently hangs in the step where it is supposed to be installing the program. It just sits on INSTALLING, but does not progress.

Any ideas how to get it to install?

    Thanks,

    DA

Do you have any (partial) logs?
And did you cleanup all the remnants of Mediaportal after uninstallation?
    And why not MP 1.23?
Was it Mediaportal client, client+tvserver or tvserver?

I have the same problem. At one time Windows 10 had an update that destroyed MP...
After that I have tried installing one and the other new versions of MP and nothing has been successful...

yes. a bit dependent on what you installed (tv server, mysql)
You can uninstall all those from the programs and features section in win10 configuration.
Don't know by heart if there's a remove all data option in the uninstallers, but if it isn't you can remove the team mediaporal folder in the program files(x86) and programdata.
Where the data is for mysql, I don't know right now

    hm, that's weird.
Do you still have the uninstall.exe in the team-mediaportal\mediaportal, team-mediaportal\tvserver folders?

As a last measure you could just delete the relevant folders

On the odd occasion when I have run into problems installing MP specifically delete all of the following:-
    C:/Program Files (x86)/Team Media Portal
C:/Program Data/Team Media Portal (if Program Data is not visible you must unhide system folders)
If MySQL is installed uninstall it via the Control Panel and delete C:/Program Files/MySQL and C:/Program Data/MySQL
That will clear out everything from any old installs and a new install should then proceed without problems in my experience.
