error 2908 I think I found a solution to this problem I was having the same thing happen to me after uninstalling Media Portal and attempting to reinstall to fix some epg issues. I tried everything currently listed in the forum as possible solutions and nothing helped. After some searching I found a number of articles on the issue with other apps. One of them recomending renaming mscoree.dll in %windir%\system32\ then reinstalling .net and then try to reinstall the app. It worked for me and Media Portal installed error free after that. Hope this helps others
