Hello everyone. I have some problems with MyTVSeries 2.6.0 and 2.6.1.
The first problem with the "Tom amd Jerry". Series named like Tom and Jerry - 040 - The Little Orphan.avi. Series from 018 to 163 are added automatically and are arranged by seasons, but the series from 001 to 017 can not be imported from database. file tried to call in different ways, but there is no result.
The second problem with the "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". When the file is named on English, like It.is.Always.Sunny.in.Philadelphia.S02E03.avi it can not be imported from database. But when it named like "Name.of.the.show.in.Russian.S02E03.avi" series is added. In previous versions MyTVSeries there is no such problem.

What am I doing wrong?

    FAIL = http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=It+is+Always+Sunny+in+Philadelphia

    GOOD = http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=It's+Always+Sunny+in+Philadelphia

    If you are wanting to have TheTVdB find the right match, you have to make your search match. We're not talking Google here with a super smart search engine that will make predictions on what it might be, you have to be as exact as possible or it will fail.

    Instead of renaming a ton of files, you can simply use the MP-TVSeries string replacement system.

    Create an entry that turns "It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia" into "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and problem is solved.

    "Sunny.in.Philadelphia.S02E03.avi" also works btw, because TheTVdB search engine does work on parts of a title, but higher risk of false positive then with other titles.

    Thank you for your reply.
    But the previous version MyTVSeries was looking for, even if the series were named as "It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia".

    Does it work if you try with the previous version now? I highly doubt that, more likey is that thetvdb.com changed some search stuff and stopped things from working in the meantime. They seem to have lots of trouble lately unfortunatly :-(

    Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.S01E01.avi works fine for me?

    "Its" = It's with a missing quote, that is fine, TheTVdB search engine has no problem with finding a match then.

    "It is" = something totally different, eventhough in English language it is the same, it causes a problem on a strict search

    Google on the other hand is a lot smarter, then again that's why they make the big bucks. Their search engine system for example is able to run more subsets of the same query by ommitting parts of the search string and match that with results and offer suggestions on what generates more matches if adjustments are made.

    Per example: https://encrypted.google.com/search...Info"++tab+it+is+always+sunny+in+philadelphia

    You can see that it did not bold the "It's" part of the title, by ommitting it from search, but is still able to come up with a result. The added +"Series Info" and +tab search parts are done to limit the results to only relevant ones (would not want to get forum or other entries that could be wrong). Possibly the MP-TVSeries developers could add an alike Google correction logic into their system, so that when a direct TheTVdB API search returns no results to check via Google if there is a close match that would work.

    But in reality it is easy to see when you made a mistake and correct this either by renaming the files, or using the string-replacement system to correct them.

    It does not work too. It`s works only when the series named like "Name.of.the.show.in.Russian.S02E03.avi".
    In configurator of MyTVSeries I have checked to download data from the TVonline database in Russian language. Previously, it did not matter in what language a file named, the description downloaded in Russian. And now, apparently, to download the description in Russian and files must be named in Russian. If the file is named in English, but in the configurator is installed check to download information in Russian does not work.

    On the http://www.thetvdb.com/ if searched the name of the show, for example in Russian, and finds nothing, it is proposed to search for all languages. I think the same option was in scraper, but lost.
