unable to start media portal (1 Viewer)

hey all i am looking for some help i just upgraded to media portal 1.0.2 from 1.0.0 and now i can not open the main program i will bring up the start scan but at plugins it just closes
here the log can some one please help me

do you have the latest directx redistributable, it seems it cant find the directx file

i think i should have the newest direct X i think it is 8 or 9 if this is not the newest one can you please provided me with the right one

Not sure what the problem is, but if you want to check, the Requirement page in the manual have a link to DirectX.

so i am home now and have taken a look at my directx and it shows i have 9c witch i think is newest alse i am posting the log just to see is any one can find what going on with it also i will place it is a update mode and see if that helps but that will be some time as i have dialup and could take 7 hr to complete

try also installing the latest directx runtimes, windows update doesn't download these.
Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime
this will download all the updates you may not have

SO it looks like you all where right as always as i was missing all the directx i ran dxwebsetup.exedownloaded from micro's website and it told me i was missing some addons i downloaded them and now media portal worksso it looks like we got it working now thank you

i also attached the installer for any one else that needs it

hey i sorry you are right i forgot i will not post software form somewhere else it just a habit from doing tech work
You always Supply the fix lol

just remember the file name is dxwebsetup.exe (google it)
