Unable to start timeshifting. One station only. (1 Viewer)

Hi

Today, I cannot go to the local UHF TV station. However, it worked before. It is the only station that I cannot get into. I get the following message.

“Unable to start timeshifting / unable to create graph”

I checked the TV set and I can get into the station all right.

I have a Hauppauge HVR-2200 duel tuner card and am using Win XP. Do you know what the problem is?

Perhaps I should reinstall Portal or install the updated version. I have had other problems for a while. Often when I open the program up it freezes on the previous channel I recorded and I have to close it out and restart it again in order to get it to go to another station. This is especially the case when I have recorded for a while. Sometimes it starts to play what I have recorded when I try to switch channels. Another problem is that the recording stops after a couple of hours so if I want a long recording it often does not record the end of it. However, Portal still indicated it was recording on the times when the end of the file was not recorded and saved.

Sometimes a message come up and says that it crashes unexpectedly.

Today, I cannot see all the channels in the TV guide.

Should I reinstall Portal or install an updated version? I installed the software about 6 months ago. I am not sure if I should do a complete reinstall or if some of the settings could be saved so that I would not have to set up everything again.
