Hi..

I get this message when I turn on TV in MP "Unable to start timeshifting" after resume from S3.

Using TVE3 in singleseat and it's installed on Vista Home Premium

I think it's the driver to my Hauppuge HVR1300, is there somthing that can solve this problem? It's working okay if I resume from S4 Hibernate, but i like S3 better because it's much faster, about 3 sec. and the computer is ready again.

    Hi bjhans,

Several others, including myself, have reported problems with TV-cards when resuming from standby. I'm running WinXP so I can not guarantee this is the same but it sounds very much so...

How does it work when you resume from S1? If you see the same issues as me then it should work better since the card has power in S1, but is powered down in S3. Hibernate is more like a fresh power-on so that should be fine.

    Hi petsa

It's working in S1 state, there is also a setting in bios called "S1&S3", and that's does not work either.

Well, then it seems you have stumbled on the same issue as me. The problem is that some TV-card drivers don't work well with deep standby, i.e. S3. Unless you can get hold of new drivers I would recommend you to stick with S1 or hibernate.

I ended up buying another card, which is PCI-E based.

Maybe I will buy a new card too, what brand did you buy?

I got a Terratec 2400i, which PCI-E based. FloppyDTV is also very popular I believe.

2400i is a DTV-B card with dual tuners.
