Hi! I've just installed MP and SAF 4.00 UNLOCKED, thanks to Hoborg. I can watch videos but I'm unable to watch TV. The sound is OK, but the video is not present. I tried to configure the TV setting in MP Configuration tool, but the "Cyberlink Video Decoder" was not present, even though I'm using UNLOCKED version of SAF. Instead, I'm using MPC Video Decoder, but it's not working obviously. AFAIK, the "Cyberlink Video Decoder" should be present just by using the unlocked version of SAF. I'm sure this must be a common issue, however I couldn't find a similar post. Please, any ideas? Thanks.

Eddie73,

I have also noticed this on my system, getting audio no video and i have tried three SAF versions including the latest BETA, problem persisted until i installed HD pack 2.2 codec together with SAF, now getting display.

Maybe some senior members can advice, are we missing something on our SAF settings that it does not want to display video?

Sharp, and hope that helps

Thanks mjmapi. What I'm going to do is to install PDVD9 in another computer, copy the codecs (ax files) to the HTPC and register them. I'll post here the result. If it doesn't work, I'll try your solution.

No way. I got clvsd.ax from PDVD9 and registered it, but it didn't work for me. So I installed HD pack 2.3 as mjmapi said "et voila". Now, it's working like a charm. Thanks again!

Good to know it worked for you too,

Maybe SAF's Guru's in the forum can advise as what might be the cause?

No idea. *unlocked* SAF use exactly same DPVD decoder as HD Pack 2.3.
Maybe there was some error with SAF autodownloader (or source site was down)
I would like to see you SAF logs ...

Here they go! I'm not sure which of them are those you need, so I attach everything that looks like a SAF log. I have to say that, even the file SAF-Log.txt says "AutoDL: Enabled, downloaded (2896508), decompresion failed!", SAF claims to be unlocked.

"decompresion failed!"

That is the problem, PDVD instalation failed...
No idea why, i was newer been able to reproduce this problem.
Please try SAF 5.00, i changed audotowloader in version 5.00, it is now working different and much compatible i think.

It's not SAF. Its MP. having the same problem (HD5450), dvb-viewer works flawlessly with all codecs. VMR insteed of EVR does work also, if you turn of HA it should be alright as well.

there is a lot of discussion right now, check the "flickering EVR...." thread anywhere.

btw. it only affects sdtv. hdtv should be alright.

Well, I didn't want to blame SAF as it said it was unlocked, but certainly the codec didn't install correctly. Anyway, it's ok now. :D
