unablr to play file (1 Viewer)

hello all. have just today installed mediaportal 1.1.3 on a versa e400 laptop machine. mediaportal starts up ok however when i go to play files i get "unable to play file" message. have attached error log created by watchdog.
your responese's appreciated

Hi drizzt,

sounds like a codec problem. Please let me know which codecs are in use. (Codec Packs or single codecs)

hello there thanks for reply. i have tried xp codec pack, klite and am now using saf 5.00. still no joy. here is a link to an image showing what is selected in configuration

O.k.

On Win7 it's much easier! But, i'll help as much as i can.

1. Please uninstall ALL codec packs and clean up with this: Filmerit

2. Reinstall saf5.00 (unlocked) and try the PowerDVD Decoder for all.

I've still more ideas but please try this first!

looks like i just missed holborg and i cannot find saf unlocked anywhere. do u have a link?

Oh, sorry I've forgot! You've to write a PN to hoborg to get the unlocker! I have it, but i don't know it's allowed to upload it!

hi there. yep i wrote a note to him as i saw he was on however when i checked a few minutes later he was off. my bad luck teehee. hopefully he will see it next time he is on and let me know.

hi there. i have now got unlocked saf5.0 but am still having same problem. when i run filmerit it says it has no problems.
