************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi,

I have exactly the same error and I'm now unable to change any Media Portal Configuration settings.

Does anybody know specifically what the issue is? What other information is required to diagnose the issues?

Cheers

Graham

It's one of the xml files is empty. think (mediaportal.xml)

Am sure if you (on vista) go to c:\programdata\team mediaportal and delete everything out, it should be fine. not sure on xp where it stores the cache stuff but someone else am sure will say....

    After installing did you run both the TVService and Mediaportal configuration programs and close them writing out config files? If this is a brand new installation you need to create an initial configuration...

    Hi,

    I did a "clean install" of version 1 following the instructions in the manual. This never happened in RC3 or RC4. Not sure what you mean by "create an initial installation"??

    Can you please clarify the above.

    Thanks

    Graham

    I just meant to run both the TV Server Configuration program and Mediaportal Configuration program as first use of each of these should generate all of the required Configuration files.

    This sorted my issue - deleted all condig XML:D files from

    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal on Windows 7, Configuration manager then opened with no errors
