Uninstalling without nuking database? (1 Viewer)

Hello. Every time something goes wrong with my MP I perform a full uninstall. Sadly this also removes the music database, which takes a few hours to rescan. I'd like to know if there's a way to keep it while erasing everything else including plugins and configurations.

Thanks.

    Hi.
All Databases are simple files that can be copied aside and after new install copied back in place. They reside (normally) in "c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\". Program Data is a hidden folder so be sure your explorer is configured to "see" hidden files and folders... Or, as I always do, "unhide" whole Program Data folder. Makes Live much easier, not only regarding MP...
If you also want the fanart to be saved, this is nearly the same. There is a folder "Thumbs" in ""c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\" containing all thumbnails, fanart, logos...

Thanks for the answer. I am aware of that: I was wondering if there was a way to leave them untouched because even making a copy means thousands of thumbnails. Only, perhaps, renaming the folder before uninstall?
