Unique ID for Plugins (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm writing a new plugin and need to choose a unique id for it (as specified in: MediaPortal1_Development/PluginDevelopersGuide - MediaPortal Manual Documentation)

How can I make sure a number I choose is unique?
Is there a public list of allocated unique IDs?

Well, pick one.. Chances are it's not taken

As for checking, take few skins with lots supported plugins and search XML files for <id>YOURNUMBER</id>. There is no universal solution I'm afraid.

And make it at least 4 digits, picked randomly. But it would be nice with some guidelines or even a list with taken ID's.
