"Unknown Error" And TVserver service stops. Port 31456 rejected. Help!! (1 Viewer)

Hi guys!

I have Acamd (MDAPI plugin) + NewCS as I don't own a hardware CAM. I installed this yesterday, and it worked perfectly! So I decided to add the MP Web Interface. Great stuff!

As I came home, and wanted to watch TV, nothing worked. I could see in the TV-server error log "target computer rejected 127.0.0.1:31456", but when I cleared the log, and tried again, it newer came back...

Anyways, FTA channels works fine! But when I switch to a scrambled channel, it stops the TV-service, and I get an "Unknown Error". The thing is, I can see in Acamd Monitor that everything seems to work just fine. But then it just stops.

So I did the simplest thing:

Reinstall Windows.

I installed again, in exactly the same way as before, but I still couldn't get it to work. Now I could see that just after Acamd had decoded the channel, the TV-server error log contained another "127.0.0.1:31456" rejected error message.

I'm out of ideas, can anyone help me here? Why all of a sudden won't this work?

Hm...

I tried turning the Windows Firewall OFF, reboot, then open MP straight after the desktop came up - Worked perfectly.

Switched FW on again, rebooted - Nothing

Switched off (again), rebooted, waited before accessing MP - Nothing.

Rebooted, threw myself in MP (with the FW still off) - Nothing.


What's going on here?

Anyone have some tips?

I solved it myself.

The problem was that MDAPI installed a different FFDecsa.dll (from 2004). I replaced this with a newer version from 2009, and everything worked perfectly!

The only problem - I can't watch another channel in the mux while recording, which really isn't a problem, because it's 23 transponders, meaning there aren't a lot of channels to choose from.


Hopefully this will help some lost souls out there.

I got "connection to TV-server lost", "Tv-service not running", "...rejected on 127.0.0.1:31456."
So there can be a lot of error messages drawing your attention in the wrong direction.


Anyways, everything is working as it should - for now.
