Hello all,
I'm facing a really odd behaviour and I would need some ideas in which to investigate.
The issue: I'm playing back a movie (mpg file recorded from DVB-S and freed from commercials via ProjectX and Mpeg2Schnitt). At a certain point in time (~5:30 from start) the movie skips forward several minutes. This is reproducible, it always happens at the same position.
The oddities:
Does anybody have an idea how to encircle this problem?
regards from Stuttgart
I'm facing a really odd behaviour and I would need some ideas in which to investigate.
The issue: I'm playing back a movie (mpg file recorded from DVB-S and freed from commercials via ProjectX and Mpeg2Schnitt). At a certain point in time (~5:30 from start) the movie skips forward several minutes. This is reproducible, it always happens at the same position.
The oddities:
- I play back the same file with WinDVD7 and it plays fine, without the skip.
- I copy the file to another PC with the same MP version - it skips at the same position.
- I demux the mpg (ProjectX, gives no warnings about problematic frmaes) and mux it (ImagoMPEG-Muxer) and play it again with MP - it still skips
- Other movies which have been reacorded and treated in the same way behave normal. I discover new 'problematic' movies every now and then but see no correlation between them.
- I don't use comskip and don't have set the option to automatically skip commercials.
- I look into the logiles and get no real clue:
