I was not going to illustrate anything of this skin till I had a beta for release Because it take me a wile to progresses as it is not my number one priority. But I thinks is look so sexy, I just cant help myself.

I’ve been making this skin with the idea that users can change the background to there liking and still be user friendly.

I got around to making a smiple but effcet OSD today.But i still think that its lacking something Though.

There is nothing special about the frog image. I was just looking for some backgrounds with nice colors to it and that is what I came across. I also like the focal points that it has.

The reason that I used it again for the “promo graphic†is that I was just looking at it and the inspiration just came to me.

I don’t even really like frogs. I think most of them look ugly/slimy.

you know what i like most (-; the last one without background, i don't know why, but i really like simple and clean skins (-; ..

for the OSD in would really use some background to make it more readable, you can make the background transparent too, i do that with all the skins i'm using because i think an OSD has to be transparent (-

I agree that the OSD screen shot is hard to read, but when u have a moving images, it looks good.


I changed the menu flyin shape, plus made it to look more glassy. I like it but I think that the over “theme†does not work with it, but I will be staying with it unless most people don’t like it.

I’m running out off more and more time to finish this skin. I WILL get it finish but if anyone wishes to help I’ve up loaded the PSP file and the MP skin folder.

It’s still in the early states of development. On the plus side I feel that I have all the necessary images to get it finish. There just needs to be a lot of XML work to be done.

I don’t care if no one comes on board I’m only doing this so the skin can be fast tracked.

PS please don’t post any image alignment errors that skin has as yet, because I know that there are a few. When there is an official beta release that is when you can tell me about them :wink:

PPS I did have the menu flyin form the right but the last SVN it doesn’t work so it flies in from the top. I did like the flyin from right much more… Ooo and yes I still don’t have a name for it yet.

I had some spare time today and I got around to making a basic home. Still a bit undecided on which select image I’m going to go for

heres some sceenshots, first is nothing selected.

Select with Green BG and text overlay

Select with MP logo white.

Select with MP logo blue

I like the the one with the white MP logo best.

Very nice!
But I´d vote for the green bg with text overlay.
especially the text overlay seems helpful because not all icons might be as clear as tv and music (had some difficulties to recognize the film reel). You might also combine logo and text beneath the icon. Also some menu-items may have a long text in some languages that will be hard to fit into the button. or would the texts be english only?
