I am updating my HTPC with a new HDD (1TB). I want to modify my Moving Pictures database so that it recognises folders from e: instead of g. ie. if the previous movie was G:\Movies\Sci-Fi\Terminator.mkv & the new movie is E:\Movies\Sci-Fi\Terminator.mkv, is there any way to modify the database without having to go through the procedure of adding in new folders to the Media Importer & re-importing ALL my movies inside Moving Pictures configuration?

    As I'm on dial-up, I really hope there is a solution. :D

why don't you just change the drive letters of your discs? G becomes E and E becomes G.

I've done that for other reasons before only to have issues present themselves down the line. It would be far preferable to simply be able to change the folder designations within Moving Pictures config, like I am able to inside Mp TVSeries, which took me all of 1 minute.

    igkar,

The easiest thing to do is to make all things equal. ie, make it the same path it was before. After this is done, you will need to go into your moving-Pictures database and set all records blank in the volume_serial column in the local_media table. There is a ticket opened to make this an option in the config. For more information see the following:

Not ideal, but I guess it's my only option. Cheers for the replies.:D

I hope this functionality will be added for future versions.

I also need this feature, Reimporting 3TB of movies takes a lot of wasted time and bandwidth.

It is slated for 0.9, so you may want to backup your DB and make the change in your DB directly for now.
