Upgrade from RC2 to RC3 (1 Viewer)

When I tried to upgrade from MC2 to MC3 I have lost my Movie database and MyTV Series database. What can I do to recover those? I can't even get RC3 to scan my current movies to try and build another database. What do I need to do to correct this?

In my case it was a video converting in the background that was killing the system resources. I thought the conversion software crapped out, but it was apparently still running. So when I killed the process all was well.
