Thanks for the information.
Why TV2 rather than TV3 - from everything I have seen on the forums I thought there was a push to use the new version and that TV2 would stop with the final release of MP 1.0.
Will I lose any functionality with TV2? I am planning on sticking a digital freeview card into the new build so that I have other channel options when recording.

Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought you were goingt to revert to 0.2.0 to use TVE2. Sorry. IMO TVServer is the best choice for most (all?) people. Only real disadvantage I can think of is no being able to include TS-buffer in a recording (I miss that!).

If you are ever to use DVB of any kind, TVServer is definitely the right choice.

No, it was my misunderstanding - I have reverted for now to the inbuilt tv server in MP 0.2.0, I just thought that you were recommending TV2 for when I upgraded my HTPC later in the month. Sorry to confuse...
