Upgraded to latest svn and TV3 server (2 Viewers)

Hi .

I might be lost here but after a while searching this forum i still cant find the answer to my problems .

Since we in my part of sweden only canr recive digital tv i bought 2 FireDTV -t for us.

And before i hade a installation without TV3 server.
No installed a new computer ( from scratch ) latest release on both server and all 4 clients .
And it works like VERY good.
But one thing has change ,in every meny for example lets say that i want to se a record or a movie that is stored on the server it takes a very very very long time for the clients to start playing the movie .
When i used MP earlier the picture came instantly.
Have i missed anything or made a big misstake when i installed the "new" system ??
Everything works but it is very slow .
TV works perfect aso.

Any help would be nice ..

Use the new tsreader. It still has some issues but has blazing fast channel change and start/stop times.
To enable ti just create an empty "c:\usetsredaer.txt" on your server and clients.

Okey

But this issue is about channel change
What i mean is if when i use MP to watch a recorded movie or MP3 it is very very slow.
Before i installed MyTv plugin on every for example in the bedroom it was much much faster.
Now it takes up to 15-25 seconds before i can see the shared files ( movies and MP3 ) from the server.
So before i installed MyTv plugin there where no delay .

instead of using MyTV -> recordings
you should play the recorded files from -> MyVideos

i know the problem you are talking about, there seems to be a problem with the RTSP stream creation of recorded files, especialy if you use the *.mpg recording format.

But that is not my problem either ....

I use My Movies from start meny .
And when i pres on the "My Movie button " it takes ~20 sek before the next screen appers..
and the screen is only blue before next menu appears.
then it works like it should do ...
Maybee i'm at explaining badly.....
But i'm looking into it right now ..

And my wife love this new "tv thing "in our hose ...
Same in every room and she only have one remote to control it all ( tv movis photos and music) .
I guess you gys now how it is

I have solved the problem or ....

Hi ..

I'm running server on win 2K server ..
And there are a lot of things going on there as default ...
So i logged my network and server and the server where still busy with inexing all disks...
So now when all of that are finished everything runs smoothly....
Thanks for the help even if the fault where my own .....



I run one server with 2 firedtv dvb-t cards and one Happauge win nova PCI
I have 4 installed clients .
So far it all seems to run as perfect as you can wish...

And a big thanks to all of u dev. U are making a very good soft.

Please tell me if u need any help of testing anything..
