Upscaling DVDs (2 Viewers)

As a newby, I not sure I know where to find the support features for upscaling standard dvds.
Is this done automatically during playback (included codecs) or are there settings, advanced ro otherwise, that need to be enabled?

I am playing the dvd from my Blu-ray optical drive of my HTPC.

You don't need to do anything special is "upscale" your DVDs. If the player wasn't upscaling, or stretching the video, you would have it in the centre of the screen with black borders all around. The codecs on a PC generally do a really good job of stretching video to suit the resolution of your screen.

You might want to install the IFC (Intelligent Frame Correction) plugin too - it'll try to resize the video to the correct frame size automatically...
