This is a fresh install of Windows 7 Ult. x86, fully patched. To install MP, I followed the AVS MP install guide here. There are no TV cards in this build, this box is just for watching media which is stored elsewhere.
The only problem seems to be with the remote control. I use a USB-UIRT as a receiver. I installed the Vista/Win7 drivers and the device shows up as "working properly" in device manager.
I use LM Remote KeyMap to map IR to key presses.
This system has worked for me perfectly until 1.0.2, but I am having some issues with this latest rebuild.
The major issue is that according to MP config, no USB-UIRT is installed. If I try to put a checkmark in "remotes" I get an error. Again, I am confident that my USB-UIRT device is working properly.
Even without the USB-UIRT box checked, most remote keys works in MP, with the exception of a few (Escape, X, etc). If a select "Generic HID" in "remotes", all the keys work, but with a noticeable delay (2-3 seconds).
Though it would be nice, I don't expect a solution right away. I understand this is an early beta of MP, and Windows 7 is barely out of the door.
