OK, here's my setup: (never complete, but close)

mpsu.JPG

Shuttle SN41G2
512 Mb Ram
40+160 HD
WinTV PCI Capture Card
Shuttle DVI out AGP (Sound: Optical out from the shuttle goes to the Amp)
Wireless keyboard w/point (can't remember the make)

Sony Grand Veda 42" rear projection LCD
Yamaha Amp (Infinity+bose speakers 5.1)
Sony 5 Disc DVD
Dish Netork DVR
Harmony 689 Remote
WinLIRC + Packard Bell IR receiver. (soon to be USBUIST)

Several gallons of black spagetti

Not shown is the 17" Samsung LCD that is round the corner for regular PC stuff. (normally this is the primary monitor and the TV just does movies, until we get dual monitor support)

nice, i would replace the tvcard with an hauppauge PVR 150, 250,350 or USB2
these cards are supported by almost all mediacenter apps, including MP
and have an onboard MPEG2 encoder which means that your PC isnt fully busy during watching, timeshifting or recording tv

    Frodo,
I'm not using for recording since I have Dish PVR (80 hours with Dolby surround), and changing channels on the satellite dish is tough with MP.
Would like to get I running some time though and allow me to archive stuff from the disk. That was one reason I wanted the preset recording times (30 min, 1 hour etc) can't be bothered to be around at the end of an archive recording.

Hey I've been thinking of buying that TV for a while..nice setup :)
I love it, other than the bulb going in the first 3 month (I understand they had a supplier problem, replaced under warranty and OK since then)
