Use MP as alarm with TV (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I'm a newbie as I installed Mediaportal since a couple of weeks replacing Plex on the Mac. As for tweaking was more difficult but I have a working client server setup (living room as server Mac Mini/bed room as client EEEBOX).

The good part is that I can watch in my bed TV, movies or listen to music. As Mediaportal is known for the big use of plugins I would like to know if the following scenario is possible using Windows XP Home and MP:

1) Go to bed and watch 10 minutes of Satellite tv on the client.

2) Automatically MP shuts down and puts Windows XP in standby mode

3) At a certain hour in the morning XP+MP starts up and a specific channel is shown of the television (for example breakfast news).

Is this setup possible and which kind of plugins do I have to use for this?

Hi all,

I still didn't had any reply on this. The question is very simple:

What do I need to let Mediaportal swith off automatically when going in bed and what do I need to start him automatically in the morning at a certain time?

1 & 2 can be accomplished with MySleepTimer plugin

This may work although I am not sure if it supports TV.

Ok I understand I can use the plugin MySleepTimer to achieve this. For the third part I will open a post in the plugins forum then! The question would be if the MyAlarm plugin also supports the start of TV thus...
