using mediaportal with directtv

    Ok, I finally got mediaportal up and running. My tv shows up, however it doesn't find any channels. For instance, the channels it sees are S-video 1 and 2 also something like cbtv2 and cbtv3. Can I manually install the channels in mediaportal. I use an rca directv box and I would assume that is the problem. I have looked but haven't found anything on this, so thanks for your help.

    You will actually only have one channel in MP and it will be whatever input you have connected to the D* receiver such as S-Video or composite. The individual stations will be obtained from your guide data which for the U.S. will be SchedulesDirect. You then associate those channels to the tuner in TV setup.
